Description / Honda Civic 1.5T L15B7 Downpipe
63mm (2,5 inch) downpipes without catalyst or particulate filter available for the following models with L15B7 1.5 turbo engine:
- Honda Civic Coupe EX-L / EX-T / Touring - 2017-2019
- Honda Civic Hatchback EX / EX-L / LX / Sport - 2017-2019
- Honda Civic Sedan EX / EX-L / Touring - 2016-2019
- Honda Civic Si Coupe / Sedan - 2017-2019
By installing a larger bore downpipe backpressure in the exhaust drops which makes the turbo rev easier which means the turbo starts building pressure at lower RPM's. If during shifting the pressure drops it also builds back pressure faster.Â
By only installing a larger diameter downpipe the horsepower usually rises between 15 and 20hp and torque also goes up by 25 to 30Nm. Combining a downpipe with chiptuning brings even more extra power.
AÂ software update (chiptuning) would be advised.
